Dimapur, April 1 (EMN): Railway Protection Force (RPF), that are on constant vigilance to protect the passengers and railway properties having the power to arrest, investigate and prosecute criminals within the railway areas, succeeded in tracking down two person from Dimapur Railway in possession of contraband drugs.
RPF on March 24 seized a contraband drugs including 12,000 capsules of Spasmo Proxyvon and 290 tablets of Nitrosun worth Rs 1,22,900 packed inside some flour packets.
The seizure was made from the possession of two persons inside Kamrup Express. The two accused were identified as Bokato Khio (39), son of Khito Sema of IB Colony and Sheik Aman (32), son of late Sheik Alam from Notun Basti.
The two accused were later handed over to Government Railway Police Station (GRPS) where a case was registered under section 34 IPC rate with 13 D.C. Act.
As per the official report of Railway Protection Force, so far 8 cases related to contrabands and 35 different cases were registered and handed over to the Customs or to the Government Railway Police Station (GRPS).
