RPF NFR rescues 7 person including minors
Dimapur, Feb. 10 (EMN): The Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) rescued seven persons including minors during routine checking at different trains and railway stations of NFR from Feb. 7 to 9th.
In an incident on Feb. 7, RPF of Hasimara, while conducting routine checking in train No. 07542 UP (Dhubri – Siliguri Intercity special), rescued a runaway minor girl of 15 years at Hasimara railway station, a press release informed.
Again on Feb. 8, RPF team of Kamakhya post, during routine checking at Kamakhya railway station, rescued one runaway minor girl and a boy aged about 17 years and 28 years respectively. In another incident on that day, a team of RPF staff of Katihar (East) post, conducted checking at Katihar railway station and rescued one runaway minor girl aged about 15 years.
In an incident on Feb. 9, CIB (Crime Intelligence Branch) team of RPF, Guwahati conducted checking at Guwahati railway station and rescued two runaway minor boys aged about 15 years and 14 years.
The RPF rescued a total of 40 individuals during the month of January, 2022. The rescued persons were later handed over to their respective parents/guardians, Childline/NGO and GRP for their safe custody and further course of action, it said.
