Rotarian Agarwal visits Rotary Club Mokokchung
MOKOKCHUNG — District governor of Rotary International District 3240, Rotarian Nilesh Kumar Agarwal, accompanied by assistant governor of AG Zone XVI, Rotarian Indira Gogoi, paid an official visit to Rotary Club Mokokchung on May 5.
Addressing the members of Rotary Club Mokokchung, the district governor reminded that after joining the Rotary Club, one should have a clear purpose to create positive change in communities at home and around the world.
Agarwal urged the Rotarians, Rotaracts, and Interactors to actively engage with the organisation, gain knowledge and contribute towards elevating the club to greater heights.
He acknowledged that the club’s positive impact and recognition within Mokokchung town is evident in the well-known ‘Rotary Junction.’
He also commended the club’s numerous achievements and activities including the IPPI booth, hospital projects and teacher awards, all undertaken with a focus on service rather than self-promotion.
He further encouraged the Rotarians to identify community needs and take a leadership role, while also suggesting the recruitment of young and energetic members to bring fresh perspectives.
Chartered president MB Longkumer delivered the welcome address, while Rotarian Maniraj Rai introduced the District Governor.
Rotarian Imlitemsu Jamir, SE, Rotary Club Mokokchung, presented the club’s report for 2023-2024, and Rotarian I Temsu Jamir proposed the vote of thanks.
Twelve students and three teachers’ in-charge from the Interact Club, Jubilee Memorial College, also attended the programme.
