RN Ravi does new things: No paper speech, only radio and TV broadcast
Dimapur, Jan. 24 (EMN): Nagaland Governor RN Ravi will be unfurling the national flag and take the Rashtriya salute on Republic Day, January 26 in the state capital town, Kohima. However, unlike in the previous years, the governor will not be delivering the Republic Day address, updates stated.
The government publicity agency the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) gave updates on Friday informing about the development. His speech will be read out in other places of the event, the IPR stated.
“However, the governor will be giving the Republic Day message on 25th January evening through All India Radio Kohima and Doordarshan Kendra Kohima,” the IPR stated.
Preparations are on in full swing at the Secretariat Plaza in Kohima for the formal function, and an exhibition by government departments being organised as part of the celebrations, the IPR reported.
