Dimapur, Sep. 15 (EMN): The outgoing governor of Nagaland, RN Ravi, left for Delhi on Wednesday after a short “send off” programme at the Dimapur Airport.
A state farewell was accorded to him on Tuesday, at a programme in Kohima where Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, Deputy CM Y Patton and Leader of NPF Legislature Party TR Zeliang spoke.
Ravi was also accorded a colourful ceremonial guard of honour at the Dimapur Airport by the 9 NAP IT Battalion, HQ Saijung.
Minister of Health and Family Welfare S Pangnyu Phom, Minister for Housing and Mechanical Tongpang Ozukum, Advisor for Minority Affairs Zhaleo Rio, Advisor for Power Tovihoto Ayemi, MLAs Chotisu Sazo, Azheto Zhimomi, Commissioner Nagaland, Rovilatuo Mor, Deputy Commissioner Dimapur Rajesh Soundararajan, Commisioner of Police Dimapur Rothihu Tetseo, ADGP ( Admin) Renchamo P Kikon, DIG, Training Center Dimapur, Aotemsu and a host of government officials, GBs, and village council members bade adieu to the outgoing governor at Dimapur Airport.
RN Ravi was appointed as the governor of Nagaland on July 20, 2019. The President of India announced his appointment as the new Governor of Tamil Nadu on September 9, 2021.
Governor of Assam Jagdish Mukhi will hold additional charge of Nagaland “until regular arrangement are made”.
