Following the declaration of the provisional result for recruitment of secondary teachers for RMSA schools by the Nagaland Education Mission Society, the forum of qualified candidates of RMSA written exam 2014 has on Monday sought certain clarifications from the concerned authorities on the recently declared result.
In a release today, the forum has pointed out that as per the advertisement No.RMSA/EXAM/2013-14 dated the 13 Dec 2013 and No.SCERT/RMSA/EXAM/2013-14/810, a total of 960 teacher posts was advertised but according to the provisional result No/RMSA/APPT-R/2013/ dated 30 November 2015, only 532 posts have been fille. The forum has asked to know the reason for the high reduction of posts against the number that was publicized earlier.
It also sought reasons on what basis, preference was given to the BEd candidates, and why was preference not given to those candidates who possessed honours in the particular subject as per the advertisement.

As per the advertisement, the forum stated, the cut off for the backward tribes was 40% in graduation but in the result, candidates from the backward tribes possessing less than 45% though securing very high marks in the written exam were not selected.
The forum also sought clarification from authorities why the criteria for language teachers ie, Sumi, Ao, Lotha and Tenyidie was advertised for any graduate with preference to diploma holder in the language, but candidates holding diploma in the same were not selected on ground of possessing less than 45% in graduation.
Meanwhile, the forum has demanded to know the reasons for non-conduct of viva voce for sports instructor candidates while the advertisement for the same was done along with subject teachers on 13 December 2013. A tentative date for the conduct of the same is also demanded, the release stated.
Towards this end, the forum reminded that it has called for indefinite agitation by December 1, and asserted that the proposed agitation will be suspended only when the department clarifies its stand on the matter for which the forum has sought clarification and the same is accepted by the candidates. The forum has also requested all selected candidates to cooperate with the forum by not submitting their acceptance letter until the department clarifies on the matter.
