Kohima, Aug.12 (EMN): Rev. Moa Longchari Cancer Foundation (RMLCF) has opened an aid centre at Peraciezie High School Road in Kohima, which would remain open from 10 am to 4 pm. It was informed that 100 percent of the proceeds would go towards funding the treatment of cancer
patients.
The mission of the aid centre is to reduce cancer mortality rate across Nagaland through awareness, prevention and early detection, provide counselling to patients through their recovery, and encourage them to live a full-life during and after their treatments, it was informed.
The other mission of the aid centre is to raise funds across communities and to collaborate with oncologists, hospitals and volunteers to maximise the effectiveness of spreading awareness and treatment for patients.
The vision is to provide the best possible treatment for reducing the cancer mortality rate in Nagaland by providing medical financial assistance and counselling to the underprivileged and medically underserved communities, it added.
It also mentioned that any individuals could help by donating household goods, clothing, electronic appliances, furniture, books etc. to be sold at the RMLCF aid centre. People can also sign up as volunteers during medical camps and other fundraising events or provide financial support through cash and mobile banking.
RMLCF was established on October 29, 2019, in memory of Rev. Moa Longchari as a testament and expansion of his ministry and service to God.
