DIMAPUR — Riphyim Catholic Youth Association (RCYA) celebrated its golden jubilee at Don Bosco School campus in Riphyim village on December 15 and 16 on the theme “Lord increase our faith” (Luke 17:5).

The opening ceremony on December 15 was chaired by Elonbeni Patton, while an innovation prayer was said by Lawrence Ezung, former president of RCYA, and the unveiling of the jubilee flag was performed by Rev. Fr. Manu, in-charge of CST.

An update from the association stated that Rev. Fr. John Ntonse Yanthan blessed the jubilee hall by cutting the ribbon, while Michael Kithan, president of RCYA, delivered the welcome address and K Furhesie Nyuwi, ADC of Wokha and president of Lotha Catholic Youth Association, shared greetings.

It stated that Rev. Fr. Jojo Varakukalayil was the main celebrant on the first day of the celebration. In his homily, he spoke on repentance and forgiveness. He also encouraged the community to spread love during the jubilee and asked for God’s blessings by living a faithful life.
