Rio plays volleyball with security personnel on New Year's Eve

Kohima, Jan. 3 (EMN): Clad in a tracksuit and topped with a white cap, chief minister of Nagaland, Neiphiu Rio was seen playing volleyball wholeheartedly with his security personnel on New Year's Eve at Niathu Resort in Dimapur.

Demonstrating his proficiency in delivering powerful overhand serves, he notched up several points for his side -- CMSP Team-A -- consisting of security personnel against CMSP Team-B in the first match.

Captaining his teammates to play ‘steady’ while maintaining the consistency, Rio's team defeated Chabou Rio - led Team-C comprising  young civilians in the final match on a memorable eve in front of a few close ones who joined in to cheer.

CMSP Team-B defeated CMSP Team-D to secure the third position. Both the teams consisted of other portions of the jawans.

Cash awards were given away to all the four playing teams. The night matches were conducted in best of two sets at the volleyball courts in the resort under lights.
