Rio and Patton congratulate Suvendu Adhikari after swearing-in as West Bengal chief minister, expressing hopes for development

DIMAPUR — Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and Deputy Chief Minister Yanthungo Patton on Saturday congratulated Suvendu Adhikari after he took oath as the Chief Minister of West Bengal.
In a post on X, Rio extended his best wishes to Adhikari and his council of ministers for a successful tenure.
“Congratulations and best wishes to Suvendu Adhikari on taking oath as the Chief Minister of West Bengal. I wish you and your Council of Ministers a successful tenure,” Rio posted.
Deputy Chief Minister Yanthungo Patton also congratulated Adhikari, describing the occasion as a “historic moment” that reflected the aspirations of the people for development and good governance.

Patton stated that the BJP, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has continued to work for the welfare of all sections of society through inclusive growth and accountability. He expressed confidence that Adhikari would carry forward the same commitment in West Bengal.
Highlighting West Bengal’s cultural and intellectual legacy, Patton said that the state was entering a “new chapter” of progress, investment, employment generation and infrastructure development under the new government.
He further expressed hope that the new administration would fulfil the aspirations of the people and take the state towards greater prosperity and development.
Patton also informed that he attended the swearing-in ceremony along with Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and Deputy Chief Minister TR Zeliang.
