Rio mourns demise

Dimapur, Jan. 18 (EMN): State chief minister, Neiphiu Rio, has mourned the demise of Kevitsielezo Guu Phizo, son of AZ Phizo, who passed away on January 17 evening in Kohima. Rio has described Guu Phizo as a dear family friend, a thorough gentleman and a man of integrity and lamented that his demise has been a personal loss to him. Recalling his association with him over the years, Rio stated that he found him to be a gentleman who always had love, respect and concern for others. Rio added that in his demise, Nagas have lost a good soul and the void left by his demise cannot be filled easily. “Guu and his family members grew up under extremely difficult and challenging circumstances and they had to endure great difficulties. The sacrifices made by them will always be remembered by our society for all times to come,” Rio said. He has further conveyed condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed that Almighty God would grant them solace in their hour of grief. He also prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.
