DIMAPUR — Nagaland Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio, inaugurated the Hortiscape and Hornbill Cafe in Kisama on the first day of Hornbill Festival.
Speaking at the inaugural programme, Rio stated that the cafe was constructed with an aim to promote tourism through food and local cuisines. He added that the cafe will be open throughout the year to cater to the needs of the tourists and suggested the different tribal bodies in Kohima to keep their Morung operational throughout the year.
He further congratulated the Horticulture department in completing the cafe in a short period of time.
During the inauguration of the cafe, commissioner secretary, Akumla Chuba, mentioned that the cafe took four months to complete with funding from the State Innovative Fund 2023-24. She expressed hope that the cafe would help in income generation for local people.
