Dimapur, April 19 (EMN): Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) on Monday stated that Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has announced 2021 to be the “year of party consolidation and strengthening” for the party.
In a statement, NDPP president Chingwang Konyak stated that party organisations were to take steps and measures for consolidation and strengthening at all levels throughout the year.
“All party organisations at the assembly constituency levels are to submit reports to the region president every two months on party activities on the guidelines indicated below. Subsequently, the region presidents are to submit bi-monthly reports to the central headquarters,” it read.
It said that first report to the central headquarters is to be submitted by the region office latest by June 30. The next report is to be submitted latest by August 31, followed by October 31 and the final report submitted latest by December 20, 2021.
Further, it said that party consolidation and strengthening activities should include intensive enrolment campaigns, consultative meetings at all levels; increased use of social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, etc by the party’s rank and file; organisation and conduct of socially positive initiatives that impact society and the masses in a positive manner to spread an appreciable image and reputation of the party amongst the public; assist the government agencies to ensure that the government’s welfare and public programmes and policies are genuinely reached to the targeted sections of society; take proactive steps that contribute towards transparency, good governance and meritocracy; streamlining of financial procedures as instructed by the treasurer’s office; establishment of party office and properties in every region and progress reports to be submitted bimonthly with photographs.
