Dimapur, Oct. 12 (EMN): Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has mourned the demise of Visasolie Lhoungu, Chairman of Nagaland Bamboo Development Agency and former president of BJP Nagaland, in Kohima on Tuesday.

Rio described the deceased as a hardworking, sincere and diligent bureaucrat, who served the state government as the CEO of National Rural Livelihoods Mission under Rural before joining politics.

“Apart from his professional career, Visasolie was also someone who had sincere concerns for the welfare of the marginalised section of the society. He was personally known to me and I remember him as a cheerful, friendly and helpful person. Indeed, he was a person with a big heart and a delightful personality whom I will miss dearly.

“The Naga society as a whole has lost a leader and a mentor. The vacuum created by his demise will be difficult to fill. However, let us cherish the wonderful memories he has left behind,” read the condolence message.

“In this hour of grief, my family joins me in conveying our deepest condolences to the bereaved family members. It is our humble prayer that Almighty God will give them comfort and strength to bear the irreparable loss. May the departed soul rest in eternal peace,” it added.
