Union minister of State for Home Affairs, Kiren Rijiju has said Tuesday that the Central government is planning to connect every village in the northeast Indian region with 3G services in coming four years. “What we want is in next four years every village in Northeast India must be 100 percent connected with 3G and broadband service. Everybody must able to access anything available on the internet because it a world of digitalization,” the minister of state for home affairs said this in Mokokchung during his visit.
On the concept of Digital India, he said, “Digital India without connecting Northeastern Region villages and people will never be incomplete.”
He also pointed out that after coming to power more than 5000 crore had been connected to telecom. “During First year of our coming to power we have allocated 500 crore for telecom revolution in Northeast India,” He said, adding 2003 during NDA government they had launched mobile service in all the parts of Northeast region.
Saying that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had clearly stated that Northeastern region is the primary focus of the government he said “We have ensure every ministries 10 percent budgetary allocated during former Prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee which were not expend over the years must be expend during our time.”
Praising the Prime minister that he is a very visionary and very futurislistic and today India is respected globally, he said the NDA came to power where there were scams everywhere in the previous government. “We have come from a situation of despair towards a situation of hope,’ the union minister said.
He also informed that ministry of Culture will promote and showcase our rich cultural diversity and belief in every metropolitan city and other parts of India and the ministry of information and broadcasting will project and promote the face of the northeastern India. “You will see in future more Aids and promotion will be known about North east India,” Rijiju said.
Beside the minister also stated that fast track courts, free legal services, inclusion of chapters on NE region in the UGC and CBSE curriculum, promotion of talented sportsperson is undertaken for the Northeast people.
The minister also pointed positively that in next four years time you will be see the result from hard development to soft development relating to our dignity and culture. “We are taking care of everything, the country is moving forward, and we have to work together as countrymen. We all need to come together,” he said.
