Dimapur, July 13 (EMN): The government of Nagaland has called for a consultative meeting on the exercise for creation of the Register of Indigenous Inhabitants of Nagaland (RIIN) on July 17 at the State Banquet Hall in Kohima.
A press release from the home commissioner on Saturday informed that the meeting with all the legislators, tribe hohos and civil society organisations will start at 2 pm. The chief minister as well as the deputy chief minister will attend the meeting, it informed.
Invitations have been sent to at least 27 tribe hohos and civil society organisations. All the deputy commissioners have been directed to relay the invitation to the presidents of tribe hohos and civil society organisations in their respective jurisdiction.
Earlier, many Naga organisations have called for consultation over the issue.
