NSF joins demand for scrapping grade-III criteria Dimapur, Dec. 13 (EMN): The Public Coordination Committee (PCC) comprising the Acaut and the public office aspirants has on Wednesday threatened to undertake a hunger strike in the Nagaland Legislative Assembly area s from Dec. 15 unless its demands are fulfilled by Dec.14. "The PCC will go on a hunger strike at the Nagaland Legislative Assembly complex from 15th December if the government does not meet its core demands on the 14th of December and subsequently declare the actions taken and make it known to the Naga public in the local dailies on 15th December," stated the media cell of the committee. The demand of the committee: "Revocation of 26th October OM that scrapped grade III posts from the purview of NPSC; set up Lokayukta as per the demands of Acaut; and declare answer keys in all stages of exams conducted by NPSC." The Naga Students' Federation (NSF) has also on Wed. joined the demand for revocation of the government's order that enable the departments to recruit grade III personnel under the pay band of INR 2800 without going through the state’s public service commission. The apex student federation in Nagaland stated that the order was 'not justified' for the aspiring students. The federation has demanded revocation of the order and to keep in abeyance related examinations with immediate effect. " Revoke the 26th October, 2017 office memorandum"; and "to keep in abeyance all the exam advertisements made by various departments for the post whose grade pay are Rs 2800 and above."
