Giving listeners Goosebumps, About Us, a hard rock band from Nagaland has garnered major attention with their debut music video “Gimme Gimme”. The MV has gotten over 175k views in just two weeks. The band consists of six members; Sochan, Renlamo, Ponn, Soren, Lich Kithan, and Renbomo. At present they are working on an exciting debut album.

Eastern Mirror: Please introduce us to About Us and the role each of you play.
About Us: We are a six piece experimental hard rock band formed in the year 2019. Our band line up is made up of Sochan on vocals, Renlamo on guitar, Ponn on guitar, Soren on Bass, Lich Kithan on drums and Renbomo on Keyboard. And of course, not forgetting another inseparable member of the band K. Edward Ngullie (manager and songwriter)
Eastern Mirror: Your debut Music Video ‘Gimme Gimme’ garnered positive feedback from viewers. What is it about and what was the inspiration behind it?
About Us: Basically, ‘Gimme Gimme’ is a love song. The song writer is reminiscing younger years (the age of letter writing and long hours/days of blissful/painful anticipation and longing).
Eastern Mirror: How did you all meet? How long have you known each other?
About Us: We are from the land of plenty, Wokha. Though at present, due to our professional engagements we are scattered in Dimapur, Kohima and Wokha. We have known each other all our lives.
Eastern Mirror: What does your band name signify and when did it come about?
About Us: Music is a universal language, which unifies us all. It brings us together. We wanted to come up with a name which will be relevant not only to the band members but to everyone, “a sense of togetherness and belonging”. So you see, it’s not about me or about you. It’s about all of us, hence “About Us”.
Eastern Mirror: How do you describe your music to people new to you?
Our music can be described as ‘Experimental’ but with hard rock as a central theme. We like to interpret and incorporate different genres in our composition in tune with hard rock. The approach works for us and we’d hope our fans understand and enjoy the ride along with us.
Eastern Mirror: What is the ultimate direction of your band?
About Us: Like any other dreaming band, we want to make good music and Rock around the world.
Eastern Mirror: How do you want people to reach out to your band?
About Us: We would like people to reach out to us through our social media platform like: YouTube, Instagram and Facebook.
Eastern Mirror: What’s next for About Us?
About Us: Post ‘Loaded Love” (December 2020) and “Gimme Gimme” (2021). Presently, we are working on our self titled debut album. We have completed 70% of the project and are optimistic that it will be completed in a month or so.

About Us: Hello folks, we thank you for your support and love, for the massive shout out for our debut video. Yes, we certainly will be coming out with a full album, and when the pandemic situation stabilises, we hope to see you all ‘live in concert’, it’s gonna be a rocking time. But, till then “Stay Safe”.
