Dimapur, November 3: Rhuchung United of High School Colony, Kohima emerged as the Tokhvu champion after defeating the defending champion, Tungkho Yinga (DBS Colony) by a solitary goal here at Kohima local ground on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Doyang XI (Bayavu Colony) took the 3rd place after defeating Tiyi XI (New Secretariat Colony) by 4- 1 via tie-breaker. Robert Shitiri from Rhuchung United (High School Colony) was declared as player of the tournament and Tiyi XI (New Secretariat Colony) was adjudged as the best team of the tournament, a press release stated.
Earlier, the first semi final match was played between Tungkho Yinga (DBS Colony) and Doyang XI (Bayavu Colony), Tungkho Yinga won the match by 2- 0. In the second semi-final , Rhuchung United (High School Colony) defeated Tiyi XI (New Secretariat Colony) by 3- 1.
