Revival crusade gets underway in Kohima

Residents attending an inter-denominational revival crusade at PWD junction in Kohima on April 21.

Dimapur, April 24 (EMN): As part of 25th anniversary celebration of the Koinonia Baptist Church scheduled in December next, the first phase inter-denominational revival crusade began on April 21 at PWD junction in Kohima on the theme ‘Proclaim the year of the Lord.’

The service was led by H Rokopra Mekro, assistant pastor of Koinonia Prayer Centre, while special praise was led by Rubies of Koinonia Baptist Church Youth and the praise and worship was led by Koinonia Prayer Centre worship team, an update from church stated.

Life testimony was shared by Bindhu Prasad, a convert, who testified and challenged the people through her divine encounter with Jesus. She stated that any person who comes to Nagaland only for business and does not accept Jesus Christ would lose in their business.

The speaker and pastor of Koinonia Baptist Church, Medotseilieű Kiewhuo, stated that as human being, people tend to be weakened by sicknesses, family problems and various affairs of life. She, however, stated that the Holy Spirit was sent to empower, adding that whoever receives the Holy Spirit would be strengthened and empowered to face the ordeals of life.

On April 22, the revival crusade was held at Poterlane, near the Public School with the residents. The service was led by Khriezovolie Suokhrie and testimony was shared by Vizosul Sachű, who testified his recovery from alcohol addictions and healing from cancer of his daughter after encountering Jesus.

The speaker and assistant pastor of Koinonia Prayer Centre, Rokopra Mekro, shared the message of God from Luke 8:18. He stated that a person with pride cannot establish any relationship with God but only with humility.

Report further informed that the crusade would continue till July 2022, which would be conducted on Thursdays and Fridays at 5 pm.
