DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 10

The NSCN (R) on Saturday stated that it has reached its “zenith of tolerance” in the face of “atrocities” from the cadres of GPRN/NSCN “for almost seven months” now. The outfit issued a press lease inviting the latter’s “response through media as to why they have gone too far” against the NSCN (R).
“The NSCN-Reformation has sufficiently clarified its commitment towards non-violence and brotherhood relationship among the Naga brothers. As declared, its agenda and policy for reconciliation with other Naga brothers, our leaders met all three leading Naga political groups such as NSCN (IM), NSCN (U) and NNC/FGN within five months of its formation, the latest being the meeting with NSCN (U) Gen. Secy Mr. N. Kitovi on 26th August 2015 at Kolkata where our leaders spent day long brotherhood discussion with the former.“However the NSCN (U) continues to arrest and harass NSCN-Reformation workers at gunpoint. But till date, the NSCN-Reformation restrains and avoids any form of confrontation since its leaders committed for Naga peace and reconciliation.”
It stated that the Naga people have seen enough bloodshed and fratricidal killings for almost more than thirty years long. “As of now, we appreciate the wisdom of NSCN (IM) leadership who reportedly instructed its workers not to confront with other Naga political groups except one incident of arrested (sic) an NSCN-Reformation worker as per the report.”
It asked the GPRN/NSCN to reveal their “hidden agenda towards the NSCN (R)” and the reason behind their attacks on the latter. “The Naga public should not blame the NSCN (R) for any resultant reaction or action in defense of its workers from being arrested and harassed, because the NSCN (U) targets only NSCN-Reformation workers while befriending with other Naga political groups.
“The leaders of NSCN (U) Kholi Konyak and N. Kitovi should recall their expulsion in June 2011 by S.S.Khaplang before doing anything wrong against Y.Wangtin Naga and P.Tikhak who also are the victims of same S.S.Khaplang as we shared equal pain and humiliation from the same man.”
