Rev. Moatsungba Longchari’s funeral today

Dimapur, Aug. 6 (EMN): Reverend Moatsungba Longchari, senior pastor of Baptist Mission Church and brother-in-law of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, died on August 5 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Mumbai after battling a prolonged illness.

Born on December 24, 1968, Rev. Moatsungba was the eldest son of Temsu and Kelhounguü Longchari. He was the ninth grandchild of the legendary late Rev. Longri Ao; and following the footsteps of his grandfather, he had also committed his life to the service of the Lord.

He completed high school from Kohima English School (now Mezhür Higher Secondary School); pre-university from Hubli, Karnataka; Bachelor of Theology in Mission from Yavatmal College. He attended the Asian Christian Academy for Masters in Biblical Studies and SAIACS for Masters in theology.

He is survived by his wife Khrienuo Longchari; one daughter, and two sons. The funeral service will be held on August 7 at 12:30 pm at Baptist Mission Church Convention Centre in Kohima.
