DIMAPUR — Holy Cross parish priest Rev. Fr. John PM dedicated and released the 4th amended constitution of Naga Council Dimapur (NCD), at NCD office conference hall, on Monday.
In his speech, Rev. John said the NCD constitution is unlike other ordinary books as it contains all the rules and regulations, and norms of discipline in civil society organisations, particularly for fostering peace and harmony in Dimapur district.
He blessed and prayed for the constitution and all the NCD office bearers and councillors, to lead all the communities in peace and harmony, an update informed.
The NCD president Etsungmomo Kikon thanked the members of the committee who gave their time and wisdom in drafting the amendments in record time and to the satisfaction of all councillors, who approved it on June 30, 2023.
The council’s vice president (admn), Holuto Aye and convener, constitution amendment committee, Zandi Domta, in their speeches, also underscored the need to have a good constitution for the efficient functioning of NCD.
General secretary of NCD, LK Peter Anal, proposed a vote of thanks.
