Nagaland: Resume classes for students of class 1 to 5 — Shanavas

Dimapur, March 6 (EMN): Principal Director of School Education, Shanavas C has proposed resumption of normal classroom teaching for students of classes 1 to 5 in the state from March 15.

In a letter to the special secretary to the government of Nagaland, department of School Education and SCERT, Shanavas stated that classes for students of class 6 and above have been functioning smoothly in the state since February 8 by strictly following the SOPs issued by the government.

“No adverse reports have been received from any school / parents / teachers / public till today regarding the functioning of schools after resuming of normal classes. Further, the rate of spread of Covid-19 in the state is also negligibly low in the past two months,” read the letter.

Therefore, the principal director of school education proposed the department to allow normal classes for students of class 1 to 5 with effect from March 15 by strictly following the SOPs.
