Dimapur, Sep. 19: The 24 bonded labourers from Nagaland rescued recently at Ahmedabad are still under police protection as investigation is still on.
The information Secretary of Naga Students’ Union, Gujarat (NSUG) informed Eastern Mirror on Thursday that the workers are “under safe protection where food and security are being provided.”
He said that the NSUG team visited the workers and interacted with them. “We met with the DCP and through his help we did all the communications we were supposed to do.”
Details concerning the case cannot be shared until it is solved, he said.
The student leader informed that once the case is solved, the NSUG will make necessary arrangements for the safe passage of the workers to Nagaland.
