Reproductive child health camp conducted at Buranamsang village

Dimapur, Feb. 20 (EMN): The district health society of Longleng organised a ‘reproductive child health camp’ at Buranamsang sub centre on February 19.
A short program was organised outside the premises of the hospital. Dr Imnameren Phom said in his keynote address that the government or the medical department needs constant help and assistance from the village councils and village health committees for better implementation of programs.

The medical officer encouraged them to take ownership in their respective village and to co-ordinate in any kind of work assigned to them. He also appealed to them to place their grievances during the workshop so that they can deliberate, plan out and work on a solution together. He expressed gratitude to the village council chairman, the church pastor and village health committees for making all the necessary arrangements for the camp.

District Program Manager Viroli Sangtam gave a brief introduction about health and wellness centres. He spoke about internal and external branding, about where to paste posters once the building is completed, and about the variation of funds for each sub centres; how to utilise funds; about the number of rooms needed in the centre, etc.

The official urged the village councils to help and assist and village health committees.
The camp provided free health care facilities to the beneficiaries. Free medicines were distributed too.
