Dimapur, Dec. 11 (EMN): The Rengma Students’ Union (RSU) has expressed 'dismay’ and concern at the alleged “threatening and use of foul language” by Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton against Chief Secretary R Binchilo Thong “for performing his official duty which he is bound to.” The union issued a press release on Tuesday expressing displeasure at “the misconduct of senior politician and deputy chief minister of Nagaland.” “It is very unbecoming for a high ranking politician holding the chair of dy. CM of a state to be threatening and using absurd language and high tone against the chief secretary,” the union stated. “There are many ways and means to curb differences and issues with maturity and understanding between both parties but threatening up to the extent of talking about ‘finishing off,’ which will mentally disturb anybody and seriously intolerable for misuse of the high position.” The Rengma students wondered if the deputy chief minister was threatened in the same way: “What if he was threatened the same way? How would he react? RSU will not hesitate to come into action if any untoward incident happens to the chief secretary,” the union cautioned. The organisation has urged right thinking citizens and organisations to condemn ‘such actions without any hesitation.’
