DIMAPUR — The Rengma Hoho has appealed to all citizens of Tseminyu town to uphold the principles of integrity and fairness in the upcoming Urban Local Bodies (ULB) elections.
“We urge the Rengma people to transcend narrow divisions such as clanism, groupism, and regionalism, and instead, elect individuals who are capable, honest and righteous for the progress and uplift of our Rengma society,” the hoho appealed in a press release.
It also implored every candidate to participate in free and fair elections, refraining from any form of malpractice, booth capturing, or violence that may disrupt the voting process.
“Let us strive to create a conducive environment for peaceful voting, ensuring that the casting of votes proceeds without any untoward incidents,” it stated.
Further, the Rengma Hoho called upon all the colony general public, ward GBs and leaders to ensure that their respective colonies and wards experience peaceful polls.
“By setting a positive example, we contribute to the overall welfare of our community and pass on the legacy to our future generations. Let us join hands and make Tseminyu a model of progressive development and peace. Together, we can achieve this goal,” the hoho added.
