Release pending salaries of teachers — NSF
Dimapur, May 24 (EMN): Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) on Tuesday urged authorities to release the pending salaries of teachers without further delay.
It noted that salaries of some teachers had not been released for a prolonged period of time.
NSF stated that withholding the salaries would hamper the teaching-learning process “as the teachers will be compelled to find alternative means of livelihood”.
“The focus on teaching by these aggrieved teachers will be greatly hampered,” it stated.
NSF also stated that some schools were providing soft copies of notes to students despite physical resumption of classes.
It appealed to the managements and the teaching faculty of the various schools to ensure that the physical notes and not the soft-copy format is provided to the students.
“This is to mitigate the ill-effects of the use of mobile phones and other electronic devices on the students,” it added.
