DIMAPUR — The Kuzha Tephe Area Sports Association (KTASA) held its 29th Area Wrestling Championship and third under-16 wrestling 2024 on Jan. 9.
Reka Mero defended his title as champion for the fourth consecutive time in the senior category and won cash prize INR 1 lakh along with championship belt.
The first runner-up Wetilo Wetsa, second runner-up Chekhro Kapfo and fourth position holder Senowe Khutso, received cash prizes of INR 80,000, INR 60,000 and INR 40,000, respectively.
In the under-16 category, Meyekhro Mero won the title while Mesuto Lasushe was declared first runner- up.
Dr. Neisatuo Mero, MLA, and Isaac Kronu attended the event as guest speaker and guest of honour, respectively.
