Refresher training held for master trainers under SBM (G)
KOHIMA — Refresher training for state and district level master trainers 2024-2025 under Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen) was held on August 29 at SIRD auditorium, Kohima.
The training was organised by Water and Sanitation Support Organisation (WSSO), Public Health Engineering Department (PHED).
The programme started with an introductory session where Gwatilo Tep, mission director SBM (G) , PHED, delivered the keynote address and officially launched the training programme.
A presentation on ‘Overview of Jal Jeevan Mission’ was shared by Yanger Pongen, executive engineer (Technical) PHED.
The formal training session covered various topics like ‘Grey water management,’ ‘Plastic waste management,’ ‘Faecal sludge management,’ ‘Features of SBM (G) 2.0: Guidelines,’ ‘Solid waste management,’ ‘IMIS, geo tagging and mobile app usage,’ ‘Importance of water quality at household level and community level,’ ‘Stakeholder identification analysis.’

The resource persons were Ashale, district coordinator and IEC consultant; Dr. Chonchibeni Ezung, hydrogeologist; Khaoshai Lam, SDO PHED; Yekiho Sumi, SDO PHED; Ellies Yanthan, WASH consultant and Thepfulie, state IEC consultant.
This was followed by group work and group work presentation.
The training session ended with a concluding remark by Wonjanbeni Odyuo, executive engineer, WSSO PHED.
More than 70 officers and staff attended the refresher training, it stated.
