KOHIMA — Red Scars FC and Sechü Zubza FC registered wins on Tuesday, securing their berths in the quarter-finals of the 25th NSF Martyrs' Memorial Trophy.
Red Scars FC, one of the teams that received a direct entry into the pre-quarter-finals, defeated Michazou FC 5–0 at IG Stadium, Kohima.
Player of the match, Asito, scored the first two goals for Red Scars FC, leading the team towards victory. Sentisang doubled the score by netting two goals in the 63rd and 71st minutes. Between the two braces, Rakeviche added another goal as Red Scars FC comfortably won over Michazou FC.
In the fourth pre-quarter-final match, Sechü Zubza FC and Ward 19 Kohima ended in a goalless draw, with Sechü Zubza FC emerging victorious in the tiebreaker by 3–1. The man of the match was awarded to Neithovilie Chalieu.
