Dimapur, Aug. 7 (EMN): Under the aegis of Biking Society of India (BCI), the RE Brothers organised a plantation drive at state stadium, near DC office in Dimapur, and at new Naga cemetery in Zani village.

The event was flagged off by the additional deputy commissioner of Dimapur, Atoke Aye, at Khermahal, Dimapur. In his speech, he appreciated the RE Brothers for organising the campaign. He encouraged preserving and conserving the environment rather than merely talking about the environmental issues, ecological imbalances and global warming.

He further stated that the participation of riders has manifested their concern for the environment.

The general secretary of RE Brothers, Ardo Pfukha, shared that plantation drive is an annual event to conserve the environment. He informed that they could not conduct the same last year due to the pandemic.

Dwelling on its motto “Building brotherhood,” Pfukha said everyone should come together as brothers to conserve the environment. He informed that 10-15 clubs have participated in the campaign today.

The club’s chief stated that with the ever degrading environmental crisis, a world-wide concern to preserve and conserve the environment for a better tomorrow is the need of the hour for every individual. The campaign was organised in Dimapur to create a sense of responsibility and belongingness in every individual.
