RDnüms celebrates Grandparents’ Day

In a rare and fitting occasion, Rev. Dr. Neiliezhü üsou Memorial School, Kohima (RDnüms) organized a Grandparents’ Day at the Heritage today as an act of re-bonding the young and the old.
The event filled with music performance by accomplished musicians such as Üsou’s Instrumental Praise, Ame­ü üsou Zao & the Choir, also featuring James Basnet, paid rich tributes to grandparents of the students from RDnüms. The day was dedicated to the grandparents, celebrating their worth in our lives, who are also the senior most members in the families. Alongside, RDnüms also observed Pre-Christmas. Speaking on the theme, “True meaning of Christmas”, Teacher Educator, Agnes Tepa shared rich stories of the birth of Jesus and expressed that ‘Jesus was God in the flesh which also means God is literally with us and in us.” She said, “With Jesus Christ in our lives we can live with freedom” while stating her belief that Christmas also means salvation.
Pointing out that Jesus’ cross paid the price for all, Agnes Tepa reiterated that Christmas means freedom and salvation. She further impressed upon that we should be truly thankful for God’s indescribable gift that He gave us on Christmas.
Highlights of the event included invocation by Mrs. Jagwetoü Krose, Proprietor of Stella Higher Secondary School, Amazing Grace by RDnüms Little Choir, Showers of Blessing by String Ensemble, School of Music, Kohima, story telling by Nourhenuo Theluo, poem recitation by Kesosieü üsou & Meriyani Ezung, Ballet by children of RDnüms, Hula Hoop by Athozo Hibo & Children of RDnüms and O’ Holy Night by Students of MHBHSS, Kohima.
The other special presentations included ‘Just a little talk with Jesus’ by Üsou’s Instrumental Praise, ‘Medley’ by Ame­ü üsou Zao & the Choir, arranged and composed by Ame­ü üsou Zao, special performance by James Basnet. Blessing was later brought forth by Tepusaho Tase, Sr. Pastor MHBC.
