RD dept. mourns demise

Dimapur, July 27 (EMN): Officers and staff of the directorate of rural development (RD) have mourned the untimely demise of Uttam Kumar, who passed away on July 26.

According to the director, Imlimeren Jamir, Uttam Kumar joined the directorate of rural development on November 1, 1988, as driver and had performed his duties with utmost sincerely and diligently.

He lamented that with his demise, the department has lost a dedicated staff and a precious companion adding the void created by his sudden death would be difficult to fill. The department has conveyed condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed to the Almighty God to grant eternal rest to the departed soul.

In a separate statement, the drivers’ union under the directorate of rural development has also mourned the demise of its member Uttam Kumar.

The union, in a condolence message issued by the head driver Angam, has acknowledged the contributions of Uttam Kumar rendered to the department and particularly to the union during the 30 years of his service in the department.

The union has conveyed condolence to the bereaved family members prayed that Almighty God would give you solace and comfort in their hour of grief. It further prayed for eternal rest of the departed soul.
