RCH camps held in Wokha, Tuli

[caption id="attachment_241434" align="alignright" width="800"] Organisers pose for a group photo after the RCH outreach camp in Tuli on March 23.[/caption] Dimapur, March 30 (EMN): District Health Society (DHS), Wokha, under Health and Family Welfare Department, conducted two sterilisation camps on Reproductive Child Health (RCH) for Tontongo and Liphayan under Ralan block in Wokha district at Bhandari CHC on March 28 and 29. The medical team was led by Dr. Robin Lotha, CMO; Dr. Zuben, Deputy CMO, Dr. Nounenuo, Obs & Gynae; Dr. Loyingbeni, MO District Hospital; Dr. Liphamo, MO MMU; nurses; lab-technicians and attendants. A CMO press release stated that a total of five lap-ligations (tubectomy), eight CU-T insertions were performed during the camps. Besides, services on ANC, Malaria blood test, Hb, blood sugar test, sputum test and medicines free of cost were also provided to the patients during the camps. Meanwhile, the medical team conveyed gratitude to the public of Tontongo, Liphayan, Ralan villages especially the staff of Tontongo, Liphayan, Ralan SC for their co-operation and hospitality in making the camp a success. The team also conducted BRIDGE training on routine immunisation for ASHAs and AWWs of Ralan block. Altogether, 215 patients have availed the services. In a similar programme, Reproductive Child Health (RCH) outreach camp in collaboration with Rotary Clubs of Mokokchung and Sibsagar, IMA Sibsagar, and Indian Red Cross Mokokchung branch was held on March 23 at CHC Tuli. Altogether 788 patients were registered and provided with medicine free of cost. Besides, free blood investigation, USG screening of ANC, immunisation and CuT insertion were carried out during the camp. ANC packages were also provided to the 30 registered ANC patients. A total of 14 doctors specialised in different fields administered free health check-up. The team was led by Dr. Chubala Aier, CMO Mokokchung.
