Ravi visits NEZCC, interacts with workers

Dimapur, Sep. 5 (EMN):
The governor of Nagaland RN Ravi, who is also the ex-officio chairman of the North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC), visited the centre on September 5 to acquaint himself with the functioning and activities of the cultural centre.

The government publicity agency, the department of Information and Public Relations (IPR), issued updates on Thursday informing about the governor’s visit.

Ravi was stated to have appreciated the ‘appealing culture of the Northeast.’ He said the diversity of the region is something to be proud of.

‘Behind diversity there is a strong unity,’ he asserted.

The new chairman of the NEZCC met with the centre’s director and employees and expressed his desire to learn more about the NEZCC which promotes art and culture of the region.

Ravi visited the museum and admired the artefacts displayed there, the updates stated.

The director of the NEZCC, Jitul Sonowal was stated to have assured to ‘fulfil the goals and objectives of the center by continually promoting the traditional arts and culture of the region under the leadership and guidance of the new chairman,’ the IPR stated in its updates.
