Dimapur, Jan. 14 (EMN): Governor RN Ravi and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio have greeted the Chakhesang community on the occasion of Sükrünye festival.
In a message issued on Tuesday, Ravi stated that Sükrünye is one of the most significant festivals of the Chakhesang community; and wished the community prosperity in all spheres of life.
The governor added that the festival should be a source of unity and called upon everyone to come together in “our common enterprise of building a happy and prosperous Nagaland”.
On his official Twitter account, Rio wrote: “Happy Sükrünye to the Chakhesang community of Nagaland. May the celebration revive age-old good customs, practices and values and be a harbinger of blessed beginnings in the lives of everyone.”
