Ravi discusses Dimapur Airport issues with Centre

Dimapur, Aug. 28 (EMN): Nagaland Governor RN Ravi on Wednesday held an inter-ministry meeting with the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Ministry of Home Affairs, Airport Authority of India and flight operators like Air India/ Alliance Air and Indigo at Nagaland House RK Puram, New Delhi to discuss issues related to Dimapur Airport.

It came a day after the Governor called on the Union Minister for Civil Aviation Hardeep Singh Puri to raise the issue of air connectivity of Nagaland with the rest of the country.

“All operational and logistic issues related to improvement of Dimapur Airport as per the standards of the Director General of Civil Aviation as well as early operationalisation of better regional air connectivity of Dimapur were discussed,” read a statement from the Raj Bhavan, Kohima.

Ravi also urged “the flight operators to explore and further improve air connectivity of Dimapur with the rest of the North East region, Delhi as well as the rest of the Country.”
