Ravi congratulates national teacher’s award recipient

Dimapur, Sep. 7 (EMN): The governor of Nagaland RN Ravi congratulates Satyen Kumar Roy, a mathematics teacher of Mount Moriah School in Ungma village of Mokokchung for being conferred the National Teacher’s Award for 2019 from the President of India Ram Nath Kovind on September 5 in New Delhi.

Raj Bhavan issued a press release to the media on Saturday stating the governor’s message for the teacher.

The governor appreciated the ‘innovative techniques’ used by Roy in the classroom to help students understand and grasp the subject, the press release read.

“Governor Ravi appreciated the innovative methods of teaching that developed a positive attitude among students towards joyful learning of mathematics.”

The governor also wishes all the recipients of the state teachers’ award for 2019.

“He called upon the teachers to assiduously maintain the integrity of their calling, which is the highest among all, by their impeccable personal and professional conduct and help Nagaland gain its long overdue glory,” the press release read.
