RARC Dimapur conducts awareness talk, medical camp

DIMAPUR — The Regional Ayurveda Research Centre (RARC), Dimapur, in collaboration with Chatteshwary Durgabari Trust, Dimapur, observed Poshan Maah 2023 with an awareness talk and a medical camp on Thursday at Chatteshwary Colony, Dimapur.

Poshan Maah, celebrated nationwide throughout September, is a dedicated month to focus on the importance of nutrition and its role in ensuring the holistic development of individuals.

According to a press release, the awareness talk was given by RARC's Dr. Vilas Gangurde, research officer in charge, Dr. Deepak Rahangdale, research officer, and Dr. Neethu S Mohan, junior research fellow.

During the talk, the experts shared their knowledge on topics related to nutrition, emphasising its critical role in maintaining good health and preventing malnutrition.

Following the talk, a medical health check-up camp was organised at Chatteshwary Colony’s Durgabari, aimed at providing immediate healthcare support to the community and assessing the nutritional status of individuals, particularly women and children.

Dr. Vilas Gangurde expressed his gratitude to the trust for their collaboration and support in making the event a reality.

"Poshan Maah is an opportunity for us to reinforce the significance of nutrition in our community's well-being. We are deeply committed to contributing to this cause, and we look forward to continuing our efforts in the future," he said.
