RARC conducts health camp in Naga United Village

DIMAPUR — Regional Ayurveda Research Centre (RARC), Dimapur, in collaboration with Seva Bharati, Nagaland, conducted an awareness programme-cum-free medical camp at Naga United Village, Niuland, on February 8.

An update from RARC informed that a total of 127 individuals availed free medical services during the camp.

It stated that Deepak Rahangdale, RARC research officer, shared valuable insights on maintaining a healthy diet, emphasising common rules that contribute to overall well-being.

It added that Dr. Neha Mech, JRF, sensitised the community about the significance of pharmaco vigilance in Ayush. Her presentation shed light on the importance of monitoring and reporting the safety of Ayurvedic, yoga, unani, siddha and homeopathy (Ayush) products.

Dr. Rahangdale and Dr. Mech’s presentations fostered a sense of responsibility toward health and inspired positive lifestyle changes.

The event was aimed at not only to address immediate healthcare needs but also to empower the community with knowledge for sustained well-being.

Meanwhile, Ashim Sarkar, spokesperson of Seva Bharati, said “The collaboration with team Ayush has allowed us to bring holistic healthcare solutions to Naga United Village. We believe that a healthy community is a thriving community and this event marks a significant step towards that goal.”

Team Ayush comprised of skilled healthcare professionals passionate about providing accessible and quality healthcare services to communities in need, while RARC staff and Seva Bharati volunteers played pivotal roles in ensuring the successful execution of the programme.
