DIMAPUR — Hyderabad were in a comfortable position at stumps on Day one of the four-day Test against Nagaland in the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2023-2024 at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, amassing 373 runs for loss of 5 wickets in 90 overs.

Opting to bat first after winning the toss on Friday, Tanmay Agarwal scored 164 runs and Tilak Varma 101 to help the host team put up a good score on the board. They will resume batting with Nitesh Reddy (21) and Pragnay Reddy (12) at the crease on Saturday, said an update from Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA).

Dropped catches and missed opportunities cost Nagaland big, resulting in the opponents scoring big runs. Jonathan Rongsen took 2 wickets, while Tahmeed Rahman, Khrievitso Kense and Imliwati Lemtur claimed 1 wicket apiece.
