Random Covid-19 testing exercise being conducted in Wokha town on Monday.

Dimapur, July 19 (EM): District Task Force (DTF), Wokha in collaboration with the Health department conducted Random Antigen Test (RAT) at six locations within the Wokha town area on Monday. An update from DPRO, Wokha informed that the testing was focused mainly on business establishments, vegetable vendors and shopkeepers.
It said that altogether 450 samples were collected for testing and out of which one turned out to be positive.

Testing was done at NST colony, Chukitong taxi stand, Co-operative bank, PWD junction, daily bazaar and police point area.
Wokha District Chambers of Commerce and Industries (WDCCI) also assisted the testing team in mobilising and encouraging the business community to come forward for the testing.

It said that the RAT would continue till July 23 at the urban areas after which the same would be conducted in a phase manner covering the entire district.
It further informed that the Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) would be conducted at Vankhosung Mission Centre and APMC on July 20, Wokha village on July 22, andLongsa village on July 23.
DTF has further requested all colony council chairman and village councils to assist the testing team during the exercise, and urged the public to comply with the existing SOPs with regard to Covid-19 during the exercise. The testing will start from 8 am onwards, it added.
