Random Covid testing result: No positive cases detected in Mokokchung, Wokha

Dimapur, May 28 (EMN): Random testing carried out in Mokockhung and Wokha districts ended on a positive note as no Covid-19 cases were detected during the exercise carried out on Thursday.
Medical officer of Community Health Centre in Mangkolemba, Dr. Jetilo Magh informed Mokockhung District task force conducted random test in and around Mangkolemba town on shop owners, drivers of vehicles carrying essential commodities from Assam as well as random people on May 27.
The doctor informed that no positives cases found from 40 samples tested with rapid antigen testing (RAT) and they are planning to continue the exercise in the coming days.
Wokha District Task Force also conducted random testing at PWD junction, Police point, Power Housearea, Dobashi court and police station Wokha on Thursday, wherein results of all the 72 samples returned negative.
The chief medical officer (CMO) of Wokha, Dr. CW Tungoe, informed that as on May 26, 2,469 samples have been tested in the district, out of which 103 were tested positive for the virus.
The CMO also informed that nine persons were at Covid Care Centre, three at Covid hospital, and 34 under home isolation. The total number of death stands at two, while 39 patients have recovered.
