Dimapur, Aug. 5 (EMN): Northern Zeme organisations staged a mass rally against the ‘murder’ of 19-year-old girl Paugumcule, a resident of Punglwa village in Peren district, on Monday.
According to a DIPR report, the rally, comprising women and youth from seven Northern Zeme villages, started from Punglwa B junction and marched till Heningkunglwa police outpost.
A memorandum was also submitted to the EAC of Ngwalwa circle, it reported. Various bodies including Zeme Mipui Organisation, Zeme Council, Zeliangrong Baudi, Northern Zeme Youth Organisation and Northern Zeme Council participated at the rally, according to the report.
