Dimapur, Sep. 15 (EMN): Raj Bhavan Kohima will be commemorating the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi by organising a seminar on the thoughts and philosophy of the Father of the Nation, on October 2.
A statement from the Raj Bhavan informed that the Governor PB Acharya announced the plan to hold the seminar during a meeting with the officers from the Department of Higher Education, representatives from colleges and Nagaland University on Saturday.
The Governor instructed the Department of Higher Education to conduct quiz competitions related to Mahatma Gandhi in all the districts of Nagaland.
The winners of the competition will be felicitated on October 2 at Raj Bhavan.
The programme will be attended by about 250 selected college students from Kohima and Dimapur, he added.
