Rainfall, pre-monsoon activities to persist in Nagaland, says NSDMA

DIMAPUR — Nagaland will continue to experience fairly widespread light to heavy rainfall with other pre-monsoon activities such as lightning, thunderstorm and squally winds in the next few days.
The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) issued a weather update on Wednesday stating that such weather conditions are expected to last till April 21.

During this period, there may be partly cloudy moderate rainfall from April 19 to the 23rd in the districts of Chümoukedima, Dimapur, Jalukie, Noklak, Kohima, Mon, Peren, Phek, Shamator, Tseminyu and Zunheboto.
Concurrently, heavy rainfall is expected to occur in districts such as Longleng, Mokokchung, Tuensang and Wokha during the same period, it said.
During this time, the minimum and maximum temperature of the state will vary between 15°C and 41°C respectively.
In this regard, NSDMA urged the public to exercise caution and stay safe by following safety measures. It also requested all the district disaster management authorities and other line departments to be on alert to attend to any eventualities and save lives and properties.
