Every year Dimapur witnesses incessant rains, which lead to clogging of drainages, causing floods around the city. Speaking to Eastern Mirror, an official from the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority said that there were no reports of severe flood-like situation currently. “There is water logging at Super Market area since drainage construction is going on by the department concerned (PWD). Apart from that, we have not received any updates or complaints,” informed the official. The rainfall has, however, affected road construction works at Purana Bazaar, the official added.
