Kohima, June 2 (EMN): One person, who went missing from a quarantine centre in Kohima, was found in a village in Phek district on Tuesday.
The 21-year-old had escaped from K Badze facility in Kohima at around 1.30 pm on May 31.
He was found by the two Khusomi villagers in Phek at around 6 am, who were on the way to their field. He was said to be taking rest in one of the huts, which is about 1 km away from the village.
On seeing a new face, they alerted the village council chairman as entry for outsiders is restricted.
When the villagers asked where he was going, the person replied, Rajasthan.
Home Commisisoner Abhijit Sinha said that the sample of the person was not collected; he was only screened.
He added that the person wants to go back to Uttar Pradesh. His initial plan was to go to Manipur but now he wants to go to UP. He said that the person will be sent to Dimapur, from where he will leave by train.
